DFG funding approved for INM OA publications
For the second time, the German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved a funding application from the INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials as part of the “Open Access Publication Funding” project and has granted material resources to finance open access publications.
The funding amount for INM in the second funding phase of the DFG project Open Access Publication Funding is approximately €56,000.00 plus a program allowance, which may be used to finance publications that are eligible for funding under the project. Eligible publications are those whose results stem from DFG research funding, where the corresponding author belongs to the INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials or where the INM is liable for payment, and where the publication appears either in a quality-assured gold open access journal or in a hybrid journal financed by a transformation agreement. The publication must also have a Creative Commons license. Such publications are funded with a fixed grant of €1,400.
The INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials also undertakes to report all eligible publications to the Central Library of Forschungszentrum Jülich in a specified data format. The INM also agrees to make its publication costs transparent via the OpenAPC Initiative of Bielefeld University Library.
